BBQ
 
BBQ is located in the courtyard to the ocean-side of The Cabin. The BBQ operates on LPG; the gas bottle is under the BBQ. Contact us if gas runs out.
BBQ tools and disposable Aluminium trays are located in the two lowest kitchen drawers either side of the sink area. BBQ cleaning wipes and a brush are provided under the BBQ.

Internet & TV
Internet WiFi network name: The Bay House.     WiFi Password:          TBHAIRBNB
The Bay House has free to air TV along with an Apple TV device, which can be accessed via your own account.
TV and Apple TV remote controls are located in drawer under the TV in the Relax Room.
There is an additional wall mounted TV in The Cabin.

Waste
Where do I put my rubbish? Under the kitchen sink there is a small flip-top bin for refuse, and also an organics waste caddy. There are spare bags for each of these in a kitchen drawer to the left of the sink.
Waste management is very important on our farm. Food scraps from your organics waste caddy either go to our chickens, worm farm or in the composter. Every little bit saved from landfill helps!  
Cape Otway Shire does not accept bagged waste for recycling. Place glass bottles, washed steel food cans, crushed flat drinks cans and flattened plastic bottles in the big green bin, located in the carport – Thank-you.

Heating
A Freestanding Convection Wood Heater warms the Bay House. The fire has been set for your arrival. On the right hand side of the wood heater is a dial for the fan.  A suede leather glove can be found in the drawer of the coffee table for safe handling around the wood stove.  The handles can get hot. There are firelighters in the same place. Do open the air control (top left) when lighting the fire.
 
Additional kindling and logs can be found in the carport. If you run low on timber, … just text for a topup!  The wind provides regular broken twigs around the garden and driveway if you wish to forage for kindling.

Cooking Facilities
The Bay House has a ceramic hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a slow cooker and a BBQ.
Ceramic Hob
            To switch on the ceramic hob, press the circle button with a vertical line, to the right of the key symbol. 
        To select the ring you wish to heat, press the associated circle for front or back left or right and a little red light will highlight the ring you have selected.
            Use the (+) plus and (-) minus buttons to select the required heat setting.
When using multiple rings, you need have the little red light selected on the ring to modify the temperature of that ring.
Electric Oven
The temp. and mode dials have lost much of their numbering through over-zealous cleaning.  The temperatures are now labeled on there. 
For most times I use the oven on Setting 3 (Conventional Cooking) – select this mode by turning the knob 3 notches.
If you prefer to cook on Fan-forced cooking, this is mode 4, selected by turning the knob 4 notches.
I can send through other options with a photo from the manual, if need be.
Microwave
A microwave is hidden away in the tall cupboard to the left of the oven. 
